Police Bank Tipping Competition
1.1. Entry is only open to residents of Australia.
The competition will commence on 11-03-2021.
1.3. The competition will contain 25 separate Weeks for entry ("Tipping Weeks") corresponding to the 25 Weeks of matches season, excluding Finals (known as the "Regular Season").
1.3.(a). The Weeks of matches for the Regular Season are set out on the Tipping pages of the Police Bank Tipping Competition website. Postponed, rescheduled or delayed matches will have their match times updated during the season to the next appropriate Tipping Week in which the match will be played.
1.3.(b). In each Tipping week there will be a number of matches played on different days of the week, the deadline for each Tipping Week (Deadline) must be five (5) minutes before each game is played. Tips can only be edited, five minutes before each game.
1.3.(c). The day following the completion of each Tipping Week of matches, the winner(s)' names for the corresponding Tipping Week will appear on the Ladder page of the Tipping Competition section of the Police Bank website. Winners will be notified by Police Bank via email within seven (7) business days.
1.3.(d). The name of the overall competition winner will appear on the Police Bank Tipping Competition website one (1) week after the season finishes.
1.3.(e). Police Bank will engage with each winner and arrange for prize allocation. Police Bank will deposit prize monies in the winner’s Police Bank, Border Bank or Bank of Heritage Isle bank account within seven (7) business days.
1.4. The competition will close at midnight on 05-09-2021.
1.5. Border Bank and Bank of Heritage Isle are divisions of Police Bank Ltd. Any terms and conditions that apply to Police Bank also apply to Border Bank and Bank of Heritage Isle. We reserve the right to withdraw this competition at any time time five (5) minutes before the final game is played, subject to paying any winnings.
2. Who May Enter
The Footy Tipping Competition is only open to Police Bank, Border Bank and Bank of Heritage Isle members only.
3. Entrants Bound By Conditions
By participating, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The winner consents to the use of his or her name or initial, and photo (if willing and able) for promotional and marketing purposes and agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter.
5. How To Enter
5.1. Entrants must complete the competition registration form on the Police Bank Tipping Competition website at footy.policebank.com.au, read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entrants must select a valid username and password at the time of registration. Entrants must enter their username and password each time they access the Tipping Competition section of the Police Bank website. Entrants must select both:
5.1(a) The winning team or a draw for each match in a Tipping Week before the Tip cut-off deadline for the Tipping Week in question; and
5.1(b) The difference between the final scores (the "Margin") of their Tipped winning team and the other team playing the nominated match (known as the "Margin Match") in the free text box next to that match before the Tip cut-off deadline for the Tipping Week in question.
5.2. It is a condition of the awarding of each prize that the winner must, if requested to do so by the Promoter, provide ID, sign and return any Affirmation of Eligibility to Enter, Ownership of Entry, Release and Compliance statements provided to the winner by the Promoter. The failure to return the signed statements will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
6. Limitations On Entry
Entry to Police Bank Footy Tipping Competition is free. All entrants must provide and maintain a valid email address as a requirement of entry. There is a limit of one entry per person and email address.
7.1. This competition commences at the date specified in Condition 1.3.
7.2. Entries for each Tipping Week must be received by the relevant Deadline, as set out in Condition 1.4.
7.3. The competition closes on the time and date specified in Condition 1.4.
8. Selection Of Winners
8.1. Entrants will be awarded points in each Tipping Week as follows;
Pick a winning team correctly - 1 point
Pick a draw - 1 point, no matter which team you pick
Pick an incorrect Tip - 0 points
Non submission of Tips - Registered entrants are automatically assigned "Away" teams for that Tipping Week and points, if any, are awarded accordingly.
Late entry - Late entries will not be accepted.
8.2. Overall Winners: At the completion of the Regular NRL Season, the entrants with the three overall highest number of total points (calculated in accordance with the method set out in clause 8.1 above) will be the "Overall Winners". There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. In the event of a tie for the overall highest points, the Winner/s will be the entrant/s who has correctly Tipped the Margin Match and selected the Margin equal to or closest to but less than the actual Margin of the Margin Match of the last Tipping Week. In the event that there is still a tie between entrants, the entrant who saved their last Tips for that Tipping Week first, will be declared the Overall Winner/s (the last Tips Saved time is shown underneath each Week's saved Tips).
8.3 Winners must be a member of Police Bank, Border Bank and Bank of Heritage Isle to be eligible to win any prize listed in section 8 below.
8.4. Wooden Spoon: At the completion of the Regular NRL Season, the entrant with the lowest number of total points (calculated in accordance with the method set out in clause 8.1 above) will be the Wooden Spoon Winner. The entrant must have entered all their tips manually. If the entrant has had Tips entered by the AutoTipper, then they will not be eligible for the Wooden Spoon. In the event of a tie for the overall lowest points, the Winner will be the entrant who has correctly Tipped the Margin Match and selected the Margin equal to or closest to but less than the actual Margin of the Margin Match of the last Tipping Week. In the event that there is still a tie between entrants, the entrant who saved their last Tips for that Tipping Week first, will be declared the Wooden Spoon Winner (the last Tips Saved time is shown underneath each Week's saved Tips). The prize for the eligible winner of the overall wooden spoon is $500.
9.1. To be eligible to claim any prizes, winners must be a member of Police Bank, Border Bank or Bank of Heritage Isle. To apply to become a member, please visit https://www.policebank.com.au/join/
9.2. The prizes for the Police Bank NRL Tipping Competition are as follows:
1st Prize: $3,000
2nd Prize: $2,000
3rd Prize: $1,000
Leader at Half way (round 13): $500
Wooden Spoon Overall: $500
9.3. The Total Value of all prizes available is $7,000.
9.4. Unclaimed prizes will be held for three months.
9.5. Bonus Prizes
9.5.a. If the winner of any prize listed in 9.2 has a home loan with Police Bank, their prize will be increased by 50% of the initial prize won.
9.5.b. If the winner of any prize listed in 9.2 is a member of the Police Association of NSW or the Australian Federal Police Association, their prize will be increased by $500 only.
9.5.c. The potential total of bonus prizes paid is an additional $6,000.
9.5.d. Accordingly, the Total Value of all prizes available in this Competition is $13,000.
9.5.e. To be eligible to claim any bonus prizes, winners must be a member of Police Bank, Border Bank or Bank of Heritage Isle. To apply to become a member, please visit https://www.policebank.com.au/join/
9.5.f. Police Bank will contact each winner once identified to confirm eligibility for bonus prizes.
10. No Quality, Etc, Representations/Exclusion Of Liability
10.1. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the winner.
10.2. The winner and his or her guests must sign and return any liability release provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of the prize being awarded. A parent or guardian who signs any liability indemnity provided by the Promoter as a condition of the prize being awarded must accompany a winner and any guests under 18 years. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
10.3. This clause does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
11. Winner Notification And Publication
The winners will be notified via email within seven (7) business days. Names or initials, depending on the winner’s preference, will then be posted on Social Media Channels and the Police Bank website at [insert link where this will be posted].
12. Ownership Of Entries
All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON A WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WHETHER SUCCESSFUL OR NOT, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

18. Entire Conditions
These conditions constitute the entire agreement of the parties relating to the entry and the conduct of the competition.
